It was late at night, and Leopardpaw lie was up and awake.She just couldn't shake the thought that her best friend and mentor, Lionstep had just been exiled,but nobody would tell her why.She gave a glance at Gingerpaw, a reddish-brown tabby with blue eyes, who was fast asleep aswell as the other apprentices.She closed her eyes for a few moments when an strange scent snuck into her nose, which she quickly hopped out of the den to investigate it.
Leopardpaw steadily leapt through the bramble thicket, being careful to not make any noise.She walked towards the scent to find a Siamese cat with blue eyes and a blue striped collar. After a few moments, a yellowish-orange tabby tom with Orange eyes came into view.Leopardpaw stood their in shock.It was Lionstep.
She didn't know what to do.There was her mentor, flirting with a Kittypet.She felt a sudden anger in her chest, a stange instinct she had never felt before.The instinct to kill, or severly injure at least.She didn't Know why, Lionstep was her best friend,but she felt betrayed.In a flash, she lept from the bushes onto His back, pinning the Orange tabby down.
He hissed and threw the small apprentice across the clearing.After a few moments of scilence, Lionstep padded towards her."Leopardpaw?"he asked."Y-yes?"the apprentice replied."Sorry about that, i didn't realize it was you."he said as he helped her up."Oh, I'm hazel, Lion's mate."the forein cat said.
